The Warrior Beat

Cold front

January 28th, 2009

UH coaches Ron Lee, Cal Lee, George Lumpkin and Nick Rolovich are on the Mainland making home visits to prospects who have given verbal commitments to the Warriors. (Ron Lee's flight was snow-postponed yesterday in Oklahoma City.)
What's more, assistant coach Brian Smith is heading to American Samoa.
And Greg McMackin has visited prospects on O‘ahu.
This is a hectic time heading into the final weekend before the Feb. 4 signing date.
Washington, UCLA, Oregon and Oregon State are among the schools that have been making strong pitches to local recruits the past two weeks.
Buckle up. It could be an interesting ride.

Best wishes for a speedy (and painless) recovery to our Queen Diana (King Kekoa's beautiful and brave-hearted wife).
She heroically diverted two pit bulls from entering the Kapolei High property. Unfortunately, the dogs attacked her, biting her legs and hand. She was treated at emergency and released yesterday. I'm sure the King is providing the best home care.

Happy birthday to a great guy and C&K's No. 1 fan — Addahknowjoe.
