Backup quarterback Corey Nielsen is transferring to Saint Francis (Penn), according to his uncle Jon Nielsen.

Quarterback Bryant Moniz has been selected as the WAC's preseason Offensive Player of the Year in polling of the media covering the WAC.

The Warriors were selected as the WAC's preseason No. 1 by both the coaches and media.

Tate Forcier to San Jose State? Not so fast. When asked about him, SJSU spokesman Lawrence Fan said to check the SJSU media release, which was printed Tuesday night (when Forcier tweeted he was joining the Spartans). Fan said to check the roster under "F." Forcier is not listed.
