Warrior auditions

February 29th, 2012

Head coach Norm Chow said he has not decided how many walk-ons will be added to the roster following yesterday's tryout session at the Ching complex.

There were more than 90 UH-Manoa students who participated. Assistant coach Phil Rauscher was the on-field coordinator.

"Obviously, it's tough to make (the roster) because we already have our guys in place, but you never know," Chow said.

The criteria, according to Chow, is: "Anybody who fits."

Chow said the most pressing need is linemen.

Several Warriors attended the tryouts in a show of support. One of them, Darryl McBride, even ran the 40-yard dash. McBride, who had joined the Warriors as a walk-on in 2010, was placed on scholarship last summer.
