Wildcats strike

April 25th, 2012

The Warriors yesterday unveiled the wildcat offense with running back Joey Iosefa taking the direct snaps.

Iosefa was a high school quarterback in American Samoa.

Wide receiver Allen Sampson also took a turn at wildcat, although he is recovering from ACL surgery and won't be cleared for contact drills for another month.

There was a scary incident when defensive end Siaki Cravens was down on the ground for about 15 minutes. He was carried into an ambulance, then treated for another 15 minutes before departing to the hospital. Last night, head coach Norm Chow said Cravens was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder.

Interesting debate about the BCS debating a four-team playoff. The naysayers claim that parents would have a difficult time going to back-to-back road trips. I'm sure D1shima and Bulla are amused by such talk.

Happy birthday to Rebecca Gallegos.

And big birthday wishes to the tallest Rough Rider — Mauli‘a LaBarre.
