The Warrior Beat

Delay of game

May 29th, 2012

Three members of the 2012 recruiting will be delaying the start of their Warrior football careers.

Receiver John Ursua and lineman Gus Lavaka will be going on church missions. They will be back for the 2014 season. Lavaka said he has not received his assignment yet, but he hopes to serve in another country. He said he would like to learn another language.

Cornerback Anthony Pierce is expected to grayshirt as a way of improving physically before joining the Warriors in January.
