It's interesting the San Francisco 49ers decided to practice in Youngstown, Ohio, this past week between their road games at Minnesota and New Jersey.
The Warriors employed the stay-on-the-road strategy in each of the previous four seasons. The Warriors were 1-3 in the second game of those two-game series.
The Warriors, in the middle of back-to-back road games, decided to return to Hawaii between games. It makes fiscal sense because this Saturday's game is at San Diego, a one-flight trip to a sea-level city.
Meanwhile, the 49ers' strategy is paying off, but it might have little to do with staying on the road and everything to do with Mark Sanchez being the Jets' quarterback.
