Saturday ramblings
By Stephen Tsai
It appears that Kawehi Sablan, a former Castle High and Foothill College linebacker, is set to join the Warriors as a walk-on.
Here's his highlight video: Sablan
* * * * *
The glitch has been de-glitched, and offensive tackle David Griffin, a transfer from Mesa College, is expected to begin his UH classes on Monday. That means he can participate in the Warriors' offseason conditioning program and spring training. Griffin signed with the Warriors last month.
* * * * *
Dejon Allen remains on the clock for this semester. If he doesn't meet the full requirements to enroll at UH this spring, then the Warriors will hold the scholarship for the fall semester.
* * * * *
The Warriors' recruiting ties to Florida are significant. It is no surprise that a 2011 study showed that Florida produced the third-highest number of NFL players. California and Texas were 1-2.
* * * * *
It should be interesting to see if UCLA uses all of its stars against Hawaii in tonight's volleyball match. The Outrigger often is used as means to experiment with lineups and schemes. It would be helpful to the Warriors if they played against one of the best team's best.

Good morning everyone!
Welcome to Warriors Sablan and Griffi!n
January 12th, 2013 at 10:12 am
Your comments about too many and too long time outs is so right on the money. We spend 3 hrs. to watch 30 minutes of volleyball. This team needs someone to take over at critical times. This could be a very good team by the end of the year but they need to make the play-offs to prove it.
January 12th, 2013 at 10:17 am
So, what pieces are the Warriors lacking? what have they addressed with recruiting? in terms of doing what they need to do to be competitive in Mountain West? Will Warriors ever be bowl elligible in Mtn West, or will they be holding down the bottom rung with New Mexico? Do we have anything to be thankful for or grateful for in the 2012-2014 season?
January 12th, 2013 at 10:51 am
If Sablan is no. 13, he looks good. A great addition to the LB group.
January 12th, 2013 at 10:55 am
I used to be suggested this web site by way of my cousin. I am no longer sure whether this publish is written through him as no one else know such certain approximately my difficulty. You're incredible! Thanks!

Ohayooooooooooooooooogozaimasu!!!!!
Think Greg "dumbell" Gumbel is in love-bias with Denver.
At this point, think UCLA can get/do all kinds of creative with this Warrior v-ball team. Luis was right to put her blog on hiatus.
Yesterday's song quote was for the lovers; today . . . to you, broken hearteds:
When the one you love's
In love with
Someone else
Don't you know it's torture
I mean, it's a livin' hell

On paper...Warriors shaping up quite nicely!
Is it August yet?
January 12th, 2013 at 11:44 am
Wonder if any coach, in recruiting, would tell a hopeful, "look . . . your only MISSION is to dominate in the next four years." or likeness thereof.
January 12th, 2013 at 12:52 pm
who are the NFL prospects for the upcoming season? we only had 3 this year. edwards, punter, long snapper.

January 12th, 2013 at 3:36 pm
Hawaii loses another close one. What is the most pathetic thing about this loss is the turnovers committed in the last 3 minutes and the biggest one happening after they called timeout under their own basket. They have the worst offensive plays to inbound a pass from their side of the court. Get some plays that gives them a clear 3 point play or a layup potential off the inbound.
January 12th, 2013 at 3:39 pm
UH has lost more of the close ones than winning one. The coach needs to address that of himself and see what he needs to change to come up on top.
January 12th, 2013 at 3:43 pm
Anybody know how Paipai and Alex did at the Casino Del Sol All-Star game?
January 12th, 2013 at 3:51 pm
I just like the valuable information you provide on your articles. I'll bookmark your blog and check again right here frequently. I am somewhat sure I will be informed many new stuff proper here! Good luck for the following!
January 12th, 2013 at 3:52 pm
We were in this game. I could only listen on the radio but it sounded like neither team was at their best. Its not like we were playing a chump. LBSU is a title contender. We made up a 10 point deficit in the last minutes. The ref who called all of the techs on UH was a last minute replacement. Gib probably deserved his but Jefferson only did what I see on highlight shows every day. He made a "3 point" gesture after making a 3 point shot. What he did was make the "ok" sign and then look through it. That being said, it wasn't the ref's fault we lost. The team battled a good team and lost by 4 on the road. They will get better.
January 12th, 2013 at 4:05 pm
Unexpected.....but definitely not in a good way.
January 12th, 2013 at 4:06 pm
#36,
Paipai had a sack.....while Alex was booming 'em.

Just dropped on by to say, "howzit'.
Busy with the kids, so one of the older ones took over my computer. At least she let me peek on the machine once in a while. So good to get outside and throw a football around a bit. Wondering if spring is on the way, or if we're just experiencing unusual warmth...
Anyways, you all take care.
Best of everything to our Warriors, Wahine, and 'Bows!

January 12th, 2013 at 7:16 pm
My spouse and i were absolutely thankful when Louis managed to conclude his basic research because of the ideas he made through the web site. It's not at all simplistic to just happen to be giving out guides that the rest may have been selling. So we already know we have the writer to be grateful to because of that. The specific explanations you've made, the simple website navigation, the relationships you can make it easier to create - it is mostly awesome, and it is making our son in addition to the family recognize that that concept is interesting, which is certainly extraordinarily essential. Many thanks for everything!
January 12th, 2013 at 7:20 pm
San Francisco 49ers took their nickname from miners who took part in the California gold rush in 1849. They were referred to as, "Forty Niners."

Who's Got It Better Than Us?
January 12th, 2013 at 8:05 pm
When SF first got into the leauge they were The San Francisco #1s. Then the next year they were San Francisco 2s. The year after that they called themselves 33. This went on and on until they sold the team and the new owner said "that's it! We stopping where we are." Thus the 49ers.
January 12th, 2013 at 8:06 pm
Ooops misprint on #70. 33 should have been 3s.

--5 sets against # 5 UCLA and a win...3rd one is the charm.
Imua warriors!!!
January 12th, 2013 at 9:42 pm
No Germanator but a good host of transfers, and local kids. More depth than last year.
January 12th, 2013 at 9:44 pm
Now we know why Colin Kaepernick was named starting QB after mid-season. The guy is a playmaker, both with his arm and his legs. WOW! His 181 yards rushing is an NFL record for a QB in the playoffs. 447 yards total offense ain't too shabby either. The Harbaugh Brothers Super Bowl is still alive. That would be a first for sure.
Gotta go with the Seahawks and the Patriots tomorrow.
#68 I asked the same question about Clair too. Nobody has said anything why. Strange.
When your best player (Fotu) only take 3 shots, that's bad coaching right there. I'm pissed the last 2 games. They blew it.
January 12th, 2013 at 11:28 pm
Great game tonight. Beating UCLA is just sooooo sweet.
Congrats to JP Marks and local boy Matt Cheape for making the All-Tournament team. Thought Zarkovic would make it too, but oh well.
It was a great tournament. Every match went 5 sets except for PSU's sweep of Ohio St today.
January 13th, 2013 at 1:16 am
Heh. Men v-ball Warriors beat UCLA?
Missed the while thing. Had a yen to enjoy something that I knew the end to, which is why I and the fellas went to Zero Dark Thirty.
Slow moving in the beginning, but, worthy of the recent accolades. The post-bin Laden k1ll celebration in the streets was justified, folks. (like you need to see this film to know that, heh.)
January 13th, 2013 at 4:11 am
Yup, boys battled all tournament and finally got the payoff. Interesting team this year.
January 13th, 2013 at 4:35 am
Wow,
It looks like the Florida boys are enjoying their trips based on Twitter and instagram...
Did I miss a posting saying that Simeon Thomas committed? He's sporting UH Uni's in a bunch of pictures on his twitter...
Great job coaches...
January 13th, 2013 at 4:46 am
Can't wait for ST to confirm some commitments tonight... I'm no expert but based on twitter posts, I wouldn't be surprised if we got at least three more great commits...

Slugger and 3-Prong . . . A Grease doesn't really know, but, isn't that kind of Oedipal (w/regard to "mother") or Elektra. (w/regard to "father") Um. is ST holding out in announcing some "big" recruiting news for the Warriors?
