Spring break begins on Monday, which means that today at UH ... hey, where'd everybody go?

Let's hope enough people stick around to open the arena for tonight's volleyball match between UH and Pacific.

Offensive line coach Chris Naeole was expected to add a different element to the coaching staff. One asset is sportsman.

Naeole is leading a group, including graduate assistant Jordan Wynn, on a hunting trip on Molokai this weekend. Wynn, a former quarterback, is used to a different sort of shotgun offense.

Craig Cofer, who started a couple of games at tight end last season, has been asked to move back to defensive end. It has nothing to do with his tireless work ethic and everything to do with the emergence of Harold Moleni and Jordan Pu‘u-Robinson as tight ends. Josh Long and Clark Evans have been doing well as the motion tight ends. Cofer has the build and so-called motor to help on the injury-depleted defensive line.

Give Ben Jay credit for being involved.

He tweets (@HawaiiManoaAD), attends every home sporting event and, on occasion, expresses his opinion — verbally and non-verbally — to basketball officials.
