Aquaman

Defensive end George Daily-Lyles is leading a camp this summer that has nothing to do with football but everything to do with teamwork and development.

Daily-Lyles is the host of a kids' camp at the Waikiki Aquarium. The curriculum is focused on sea life through group-oriented activities.

The camp is part of Daily-Lyles' studies in family resources. He is scheduled to earn a degree in that field in December.

Daily-Lyles adjusts his off-season training around his camp schedule. He often is at the aquarium for up to 10 hours a day.

Linebackers Kamalani Alo and Art Laurel also are leading youth camps this summer. Alo is working with kids at the Palama Settlement.

    Good morning Tsaikos!

    Great job GDL!

  2. Da Punchbowl Kid:

Second! Fist actually, because JM2375 doesn't care about numbers...

  3. Da Punchbowl Kid:

    Forst, I meant to say.

  4. jm2375:

Statistics means never having to say you're certain.

  5. Da Punchbowl Kid:

Dang fat fingers so early in the morning...

  6. Da Punchbowl Kid:

Aquaman has an "S" on his shirt... did you check your sources, Mr. Tsai?

  7. Stephen Tsai:

    DPK:
Well, I suppose I could change it to "Sea Man," but, well, that's just sounds so wrong.

    Student. Athletes In Action......

No Spam, No Spam, No Spam.....Das my anti-spam chant. Hehe

I thought George was converted to DE. Anyway, he is huge. At 255 he does not look fat. My guess-outlook, based on his spring performance, is that George will be a major factor at DE.

    GOOD MORNING HAWAII!

Good to hear about our student athletes giving back to the community!

  12. Stephen Tsai:

    PurpleMaple:
Thanks for the catch. I changed it to DE.

GDL can run up Koko Head. He's in shape.

  14. NaKoaMike:

Don't forget, the Warrior Bash is today at Ige's! Starts at 5:00. Hope to see you there!

  15. Old School Dave:

I get tired just looking at the Koko Crater steps :-(

  16. Dino:

hope daily-lyles will be able to absorb a lot of playing time up front at DL. being converted from LB, he is undersized. but with the typical lack of depth issues, we have no choice.

  17. SteveM:

    Good morning everyone!

Glad to see our favorite players active in the community!

  18. wafan:

    Good afternoon.

  19. Rodney:

Awsome turn out uh football camp!
At least a hundred enthusiastic kids !!

  20. Jonj:

I find it very hard to believe GDL can run up kokohead or that Pilares ran up kokohead posting at 16min mark. My best time is 12min and that was a non stop walk no where close to running. Unless there doing short burst followed by a rest. Just thought I get the facts out. Sorry!

  21. Stephen Tsai:

    Jonj:
You walked up Koko Head in 12 minutes? That's pretty fast. Can you play wideout?

  22. d1shima:

Great reason to support UHBB...get to Omaha!

What a feeling it must be in TD Ameritrade Park on the first weekend!

  23. 3-Prong:

23 d1: Got to see the TD Ameritrade Park when we went for #1 daughters graduation from Creighton. Absolutely beautiful facility.

  24. gobows:

    Jonj is 6-9

  25. gobows:

If a person walks up kokohead in 12 minutes, how long will it take for an nfl wide receiver/kick returner to run kokohead?

  26. d1shima:

I used to be 10-2 but nowadays with airbags I switched to 8-4

  27. d1shima:

Wow. All those Bulldog fans musta been huffin' and puffin' to make that stay in

  28. d1shima:

    3-Prong,

I was checking out Midland Lutheran for #2 before he told us where he really wanted to go.

I even gugu-mapped the route from the school to Rosenblatt!  ;-)

  29. wafan:

    Good afternoon!

  30. 3-Prong:

d1: if you're ever in Omaha again, check out Upstream Brewery. Cool Micro-Pub.

  31. Jonj:

Have u guys ever done kokohead?? There's people who do it everyday 10min, fastest time I've heard was 7min. Maybe time to do some investigative journalism! Lol

  32. Jonj:

Here's a short clip of a girl who did 12 mins. She runs the first part and u can see she walks the rest

  33. Slugger:

So proud of the Warriors working with kids. Way to go!

Watching the So. Alabama game...the only (FB) game in town. :)

  34. gobows:

    i completed 5 marathons

  35. Jonj:

    Have you done kokohead gobows???

  36. Shoko:

Can be in great cardio shape, but when running up Koko Head trail its the lactic acid buildup in the legs that is a killer. If someone did it in seven minutes, that person must have quads of steel.

Speaking of steel, that new Superman movie was the best one yet.

  37. gobows:

havent done kokohead, heard its a nice view, not really a hike.

  38. Old School Dave:

Seems that most injuries and mishaps on Koko Crater occur on the way down. Gotta be careful at the tresle. When I did it years ago, I went around it on the climb up, but walked in on the descent - go figure. As I went over it I only thought of one thing: "No make A.".

  39. wafan:

Happy Father's Day to the Daddies and Substitute-Daddies!

    Whoo-hoo!!!
