Iosefa cleared to play; Rasmussen joins

September 4th, 2013

Running back Joey Iosefa yesterday received medical clearance to play in Saturday's road game against Oregon State.

Iosefa will be included on the 64-player travel roster.

Still, it has not been determined what role, if any, Iosefa will have in that non-conference game. Iosefa has not participated in contact drills since suffering a fractured foot in late July. He recently was allowed to participate in position drills with the other running backs.

Defensive tackle Kennedy Tulimasealii, linebacker Lance Williams and tight end Jordan Pu‘u-Robinson will need at least another week to recover from injuries.

Defensive tackle Kory Rasmussen has gained admission into UH and will be joining the Rainbow Warriors today.

Rasmussen, a 2012 Kamehameha Schools graduate, redshirted at Colorado last year. He was dismissed from the team and released from scholarship because of an off-campus incident.

Because of the dismissal, he is not eligible to receive a football scholarship this year. He is joining the Warriors as a walk-on.
