There is a scholarship available for Tigi Hill, if he meets the requirements.

It appears that former Kealakehe High running back/lineman David Fangupo is headed to a junior college. He signed with UH in February.

    1?

  2. jeezy33:

So Castro is a LB now? Pretty sure he is a DE

  3. jeezy33:

Castro transferred because the 3-4 scheme at UCLA didn't fit his style well. Pretty sure he isn't a 4-3 LB...

  4. Stephen Tsai:

If they go to a 3-4, I can envision three of the LB slots going to Castro, Garcia-Williams and Gener.

ST: Would Tigi be at S or LB if he does come back?

Aloha kakou! This is for 3-prong, and any alum and/or supporters of mini UH in Oregon, e.g Linfield; http://thebiglead.com/2013/12/02/d-iii-punt-return-features-three-bone-rattling-blocks/

  7. Former UH Athlete:

Cool, totally didn't realize Gener was awarded a medical redshirt.

I've been talking about a shift to 3-4 being the best for the returning DL+LBs, but my opinion isn't worth the screen it's typed on... which, now that I think about it.... makes me think my opinion is worth $1000 (MacBook Pro).

ST... by you speaking of a possible shift to a 3-4... does that mean there's going to be a change in defensive leadership?

  8. Former UH Athlete:

    In other football news...

UCLA just did what it had to do to ensure their program remains on an upward trajectory... They extended Coach Mora Jr to a lengthy extension to ensure UW doesn't take him away, approved increase in assitant coach pay to help keep them at UCLA, and committed to improving facilities.

Wonder if they had UH in mind and the possible downfall of they don't take care of their coach and program.

    'Morning.

I thought medical redshirts were awarded after a players 4th/5th year?

    GOOD MORNING HAWAII!

    Reinforcements or is it reloading?

  11. Former UH Athlete:

Pretty solid group of red shirts coming available. Best looking group of red shirts that I've seen at UH in a very long time.

I see the majority of these guys competing for starting jobs right away.

    Good Morning Tsaikos!!!

Nice to see some apparent talent on the above list...hope they are all able to take care of business and get the job done.

Welcome to the Wilson Ohana....albeit under terrible circumstances.<
